Yes, it would be different. So far all the comms we've found allow self-recs, and the reviews of other author's works seems to be of the squee variety. We want more detailed reviews, similar to epic_recs where the reviewers explain why you may or may not like the story.

We're still hammering out the details, but thank you for pointing me to gay_bookclub. The comm seems decent, but contains a lot of posts of "buy my book".
