Verbotene Liebe Squee - Day 4 of the addiction
Verbotene Liebe Squee. Skip if you feel like it (of course :D)
OK so Day Four of my addiction to Verbotene Liebe and if this is bad, I don't want to be good.
I've been spending almost all of my spare time searching out more clips and more commentary and spoilers and backstory and all sorts of things. Which, by the way, isn't as easy as you would think because most of the best stuff is in German. Considering that this is a German soap - that's to be expected. My American "Speak English Dammit" entitlement - let me show you it.
Anyway -
Resources
Gays of Daytime TV post in both German and in English. They have great summaries and screencaps. They also link to the videos as soon as they go up on youtube. They edit the posts once the subtitled version goes up. They also gave me some spoilers which I'm so excited for!
Afterelton posts some awesome recaps, spoilers and discussions, as well.
Both sites are obsessed with Christian's orange shirt. Which, admittedly, I'm obsessed with, too. I hate orange but Christian makes it oh so good.
Anyone find any others? The boards over at the wetpaint wiki aren't bad but they aren't all that great either. The site is hard to navigate and rather light on content, too.

OK so... today's BFD is that I found the Christian Mann wiki entry and omg. OMG. AHAHAHAHAHA THE SOAP OPERANESS OF HIS BACKSTORY!!!!a;ldkjfas;dfjk He was in jail not once but TWICE! His daddy robbed a circle k and then he beat up someone. ask;dlfjas;dlf OH CHRISTIAN!
So I totes want to know how this is going to effect the future of Christian/Ollie once Ollie learns of the jailtime as I don't think this has come up between them yet.
The best part of the jail discussion I was having with someone is that, when I snuck out to check the flist and respond to comments, I found this post on German prisons.

Then there's the spoilers and omg. OMG (did I mention spoilers? Cause they are. So don't look if you don't want spoilers) But how the hell do they expect me to wait until then? NOT ON, DAS ERSTE, NOT ON AT ALL!
So many thanks to Das Erste for allowing the videos to stay up on youtube. I hope that they really get how many international fans they have of this show. Just gah. GAH, I say.
Also - can I just add in my multitude of thanks to the person who's doing all the subtitles? Cause omg, she's brilliant. ♥ (not that she'll probably ever see this)
So there it is. More squee. Now to find and/or make a background for my computer that's WS with Christian in his orange shirt and Ollie not in that awful red-striped shirt.
