Oh dude, I don't have just one beta. I normally use two or three. The fics are just that needy, lately. There's one fic that I had like 8 betas on it. Actually, I think it was my smutmas last year. My smutty_claus will probably have about the same number.
YES! Who really thought that would be a good idea? And they lock up the tables unless you pay to rent them! Except, you paid for the tables and the installation already through your tax dollars, for fuck's sake. I hope like fuck this law is overturned because seriously, this is the most asinine thing I've heard in a long time. Tucson has a HUGE homeless population but instead of outlawing compassion, we feed them and open shelters and give money to groups that have soup kitchens. University of Arizona does a lot to help, as well, with feeding and sponsoring programs and stuff. I know that in the 80s, Tucson tried to outlaw various aspects of helping the homeless and it didn't work. At all. Instead, they decided compassion and a helping hand was more in keeping with what they should do. Now we still have a homeless population and we still don't have enough beds or food but at least we're not locking up our common areas and demanding that people rent their own stuff back. /rant on homelessness and idiocy
